Sony Ericsson is adding the finishing touches to its first WCDMA 3G handset, the Z1010.
Sony Ericsson’s Marketing Director for their UK headquarters confirmed that the testing and validation procedures for the phone have gone well and that they are pleased with its handling of video conferencing. To enhance this particular feature, the Z1010 incorporates two cameras, with the internal camera utilised for video calls.
Additional specs include a 65k internal display (Monochrome external), long range Bluetooth, 24-chord Polyphonics, MMS & email capability, dual-mode UMTS/GSM-GPRS, and memory expansion in the form of Sony’s MemoryStick Duo (not Duo Pro, unfortunately).
Although not 100% definite yet, it is thought that the Z1010 will get its UK debut as early as January 2004. Watch this space...
