The P800 is open to the large community of Symbian OS developers. Development options include J2ME MIDP, PersonalJava and C++. For content, the P800 sports a multimode browser featuring WAP 2.0, HTML, xHTML and i-mode. In addition to all the embedded applications such as full PIM functionality and some games, expect to find a multitude of third party applications and services to download over-the-air when the P800 is available in the third quarter of 2002. This openness will make the P800 attractive to both the corporate market and for entertainment experiences.
