WHY do you even want to buy this phone if HTC Desire (with a bigger screen of slightly better resolution and much faster processor at 1 Ghz - instead only 600 Mhz for Lengend - and with everythng else pretty much the same) is just around the corner to be available in end of April???

After all, with Desire, you only have to pay a few thousands NT more to get a much speedy performance in everything you do with a 3G phone. So why cant you wait to buy desire instead of this?

(1) It's not just few thousand NT dollars. (20K-15K)/15K=33%
Do you think the fatser processor and bigger panel of Desire is worth 33% higer price??

(2) We don't know the stability and quality of Desire, but there were alraedy much information from Legend user.

(3) Just like iPhone, Desire is too big as a phone. Some user doesn't like his/her mobile phone too big...
(For me, iPhone is too big to grip by one hand~~)

1) I was at HTC's booth in Nova the other day and they already got a unit of Desire for tryout. The guy here told me its gonna cost 3 thousand something more then legend. The phone is already available for preorder. If you are right about the 5K more to buy the Desire, then, i am with you. But again, if you are a 3C user whose phone is tight to the net 24/7, i feel that a better processor, in this case 1 G to 600, could make a significant difference for you when running some heavy apps like GPS. Dont you think?

2)Desire was lauched in Europe back in march together with Legend. There are already tons of reviews on foriegn sites giving the gadge much higher score then Legend. I am not judging which is better as you could say that they are focused in different market segments - Legend being in the mid-range phone and desire in high-range phone compared to Google's Nexus (not sure that how you spell it).

3) i agree with you. Desire is one ugly beast. the brown bezel really turned me off. But again, dont you want a bigger screen for browsing the web?

So all i am saying is if you are paying a rather high montly fee for unlimited online function, Desire seemed to make Legend look bad as they came out roughly at the same time. But yes, i agree with you that price is always an issure.

Hi,

It's looks like you really need a powerful mobile device...

For me, I just wanna own a 3.5G mobile phone + Android OS + WEB browsing + WiFi + MP3 player + FM radio
GPS & Camera is nothing to me~~
I just bought Legend last week. I think it's good looking, functional, cheaper, and suitable for me. I like it even than iPhone which I use it 2 years ago. If you think WEB site browsing is very important to you, how faster will it become under current Taiwan internet sevice invironment?? 10s faster, 1s faster, or just 0.1s faster?? I'm not sure, maybe all the same(not so fast).

On the other hand, how about you also check new iPhone or new Windows Phone couple month later?? Maybe they're the one you're looking for!! I think they have higher spec. than most product.

BTW, it's very glad to discuss with you. Hope you can find your best choice asap... ^^

Hello

It is certainly the time for me to get a new phone. To be honest, I have been drifting in between Lengend and Desire, and the truth is Legend appeals to me more. No one can denny Legend's full metal body that just weights so brilliantly in hand and the design is as sexy as a smart phone can get.

You got a point about the phone service provider's bandwith limitaiton. HEck, surfing the net on cellphone is a pain in the rear end in the first place. Furthermore, since i had already put down around 9k NT for a Gamin's GSP in my car, a super, top-of-the-line cellphone that could brings me a fluid GPS funtionality would just seem a bit redundant. I guess what i am really looking for is a fun android phone - as it would be my first android phone - to play around with and it seems Legend would be a sound choice in that regard, hadnt Desire look so damn ugly. By the way, how many apps do you have in your Legend before it gets slow and dodgy?

New phones are coming out on the market more rapidly then ever - thanks to the competitions and those big greedy phone manufacturers, you just can never catch it up with them and, like you said, after all, what really comes down to in the end is choicing a phone that caters to your need. So LEGEND here i come! appreciate your feedback.

Regards
