Samsung Galaxy S2 On Fire, Hits 3 Million Pre-Orders

The Samsung Galaxy S2 gave us a glimpse of things to come when it launched in its home country to 120,000 pre-orders, shattering the iPhone 4 launch sales in South Korea. Well it now seems that the Korean company is still on fire, racking up 3 million pre-orders already despite not being available globally just yet.

Samsung reportedly garnered 3 million pre-ordrs worldwide by April-end and these numbers are expected to keep climbing at an accelerated rate as the dual-core Android reaches the proposed 120 countries it is expected to go on sale in.

Over in the US, the Samsung Galaxy S2 is expected to be made available across all 4 major US carriers in different variants, with the Verizon version already hinted in a leaked roadmap (May-June release) and an AT&T version recently passing through the FCC.

The Samsung Galaxy S II features a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, dual-core processors, 1GB RAM, 16GB or 32GB storage options (plus microSD upto 32GB), Wifi b/g/n, USB 2.0, 1650mAh battery, aGPS, 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front camera, 1080p HD video recording and Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Touchwiz 4.0 UI. It will be joining two other Samsung Galaxy S phone on T-Mobile, the Vibrant and Galaxy S 4G.
