據說10.1有兩個版本，一個是IPAD2未發表前10.1就先發表出規格，當時的規格機身厚度是10.9mm，後置鏡頭為800萬畫素，此版稱為10.1。
但IPAD2發表後，就馬上改為另一個規格，機身厚度為8.6mm，後置鏡頭為300萬畫素，此版稱為10.1v。
但是三星於6/8在紐約開賣的Galaxy tab 10.1，是上述所說的10.1v版。
