Hi all,
as promised I will keep you up to date on the latest software update developments.
Today, on April 12, Nokia launched the Nokia E6 and the Nokia X7, two new smartphones aimed at business users and entertainment enthusiasts respectively. Both devices run on the newest version of Symbian, which has been nick-named Symbian Anna as part of a newly agreed naming strategy for Symbian (formerly known as PR2.0). Symbian Anna includes fresh, new icons and usability enhancements such as improved text input, a faster browser and refreshed Ovi Maps. In the coming months Symbian Anna will also be available as standard on newly shipping Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia C6-01 and Nokia C7 devices, as well as available to download on previously purchased models of those same smartphones. We will communicate more on this closer to the time.
New software features in Symbian Anna:
New, fresh icons and usability enhancements
Improved text input:
* Split screen view while typing; see your message thread, webpage, maps, contacts or email
*Virtual portrait QWERTY for fast, one handed typing
An easier to use and faster browser (address bar visible, pages load faster, improved opening, closing and navigation between windows)
Refreshed Ovi Maps with:
*Simpler and quicker search
*New public transportation routes
For business users:
o Instant messaging and presence with Microsoft Communicator Mobile
o E-mail enhancements including full meeting request support
o True business grade security with HW accelerated encryption
o Easy and secure intranet access (IPSEC and SSL VPN enablers, intranet application –necessary features for all business users who want to access their company intranet)
just as a very brief comment again on "when is the update available for my "N8/C7/E7/C6" - here's again what was posted above:
In the coming months Symbian Anna will also be available as standard on newly shipping Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia C6-01 and Nokia C7 devices, as well as available to download on previously purchased models of those same smartphones. We will communicate more on this closer to the time.
That means we can't and don't announce an exact date at the moment, but as I said, I'll keep you updated.

都已經月中了，還不見PR2.0的屁，到底什麼時候才能更新阿

看了介紹影片
其實有些東西是 s60 5th 原本就有的功能
只不過後來在 ^3 被拿掉而已
像是直立式的Qwerty鍵盤，在我上一支手機5800上就有了
只不過又重新被放進去然後介面有調整過
其實我覺得5800有些不錯的功能
不知道為什麼到了 ^3 的系統就莫名的被拿掉了
像N8現在的行事曆我就覺得沒有5800的好用
音樂撥放器雖然不錯，但指定資料夾的問題依舊存在
而且5800是可以直接加上專輯圖片
N8卻把這功能給拿掉了，這讓我感到有些許的失望
不過總體而言N8還算是支很不賴的手機
除了大家公認不長進的CPU外
希望這次的 Anna 可以有實質上的效能改進
不要讓我更新後發現最大的改變就只有icons
